Last night, B and I drove to the Texas Motor Speedway for the Speedway Children's Charities' annual Christmas Tree Lighting. My nonprofit was awarded a grant from the SCC, who this year gave out over $1,000,000 to North Texas ministries. Sounds great, right? What a magical evening, complete with hot chocolate, cheddar popcorn, the Texas Boys' Choir singing carols, and the lighting of the largest living Christmas Tree in Texas (sorry KOT)?
Well, I forgot to mention that it was 29 degrees and "winter mixing" outside (sleet/snow combo), or that the event was outdoors and lasted one hour.

But oh well. It was worth it. And truly lovely. Plus, in addition to the big check presentation they gave us a Nascar board game...haha exactly what Santa knew I would want.

Plus, Santa drove up in a smokin' red Corvette:)
